Outer survey / station 061
Receiver 07 · narrow-band service
An interactive fiction / 5–10 min
Letters and your replies, as they were recorded. Unreceived transmissions remain sealed.
You are the remote operator of Stillward, a listening station at the edge of surveyed space. Its engineer can send one compressed letter each day. Only your terminal can authorize a reply.
Each letter has two pages. On the second, select a reply and confirm it. Then use Advance transmission to skip to the next day. This prototype takes about 5–10 minutes; it never makes you wait.
Power costs are shown before you transmit. Earlier choices change the people, the evidence, and the endings you can afford. There is no score and no perfect record.
Use the page buttons or the left and right arrow keys. Tab moves between controls; arrow keys select radio options; Enter or Space activates a focused button. The archive preserves received letters and your replies. Restart asks for confirmation.
Six authored transmissions, three endings, saved automatically in this browser. No account, cloud sync, or hardware connection. If storage is blocked, you can still finish in this tab. Download the HTML to keep an offline copy; its save is separate from this website.
This erases this browser’s Stillward replies and reading position. Other sites and their saves are not touched.
